Whew. I'm still recovering. The fair was a two-day event this year and packed with the goodies I usually only get to ogle online. There was SuperMaggie, Flying Fish Gallery, Happy Owl Glass, and so many more. Sarah Best (lower left) stopped by to show me a shirt she'd embellished with Sublime Stitching patterns, and Carolyn (or was it Marilyn?) drove all the way from central Iowa to show me a fabulous embroidery she'd made of her and her twin sister after 'being inspired by my portraits'. That made my trip very special. What is perpetually confusing to anyone who visits my booth at the fair is the presence of my dear friend Jen Hazen of VENUS. She helps me out every year and people think she's me, or we're sisters or cousins or 'something'. Nope. Just lookalikes, apparently. Can you tell which Jen is which? (Hint: I'm wearing a hat). Thanks Renegade Craft and everyone who came! See you next year!

Nanny nanny boo boo. I got a preview copy of Get Crafty: Hip Home Ec by Jean Railla 'cause I'm cool. It's the new, comprehensive craft bible. I can't wait to try Meme's Madeline recipe, make some Flory y Fauna soap, and take my Which-Craft-Are-You Quiz. Don't pout! You can get your own copy! All the info you need is at GetCrafty.com

Do you get the DIY Network? Well, you may have seen host Vickie Howell of The Knitty Gritty sporting a shirt that I embroidered for her with Sublime Stitching Cat-a-Rama patterns. Didya miss it? That's okay. That's why I'm posting a picture of it on my blog. Yes, the shirt says Knittin' Kitten. We can get cutesy around here...in small doses.
