Films and embroidery are closely tied in my world, since I watch a lot of movies whilst stitching. Austin's Zellner Brothers, have their award-winning short The Virile Man on Atom Films for viewing. Click the pic above to watch it. If you gotta ask, you don't get it. Be sure to visit their site, FORTHQ.com!

Overcome by a vision. I was in New York City all last week on a soon-to-be-revealed secret mission. While wandering around SoHo, I was stopped dead in my tracks by the glorious, gargantuan embroidery hoop window display at Anna Sui. This is what heaven must look like.

Hey! Don't even think about missing the 4th Anniversary party of Austin's beloved Flicker Film Festival. And, The Austin Craft Mafia will be regaling the crowd with presents!

Next on my list of books to read. Thanks to the customer who recommended it!

Gah! Just look at this! I am blushing so hard all the blood has left my brain and I'm speechless. Duh...Leonie Connellan, an artist in Australia, did this
amazing embroidered version of me with Wayne Coyne, snapped when I was working on their last video. I can understand the allure of embroidering Mr. Coyne, but me? C'mon..really? Me? Aw...The detail is just so incredible, and the colors are fantastic. Just, WOW. Click the embroidery to visit her blog where you can see the work as it progressed. And thanks, crump. I'm endlessly flattered.
