I have it for you! The WHITE STUFF! What am I talking about? For years faithful Sublime Stitchers have written me with the plaintive cry: How do I get a pattern on dark fabric? Turns out that white carbon transfer paper is pretty elusive stuff, and the chalky sheets found at the fabric store don't quite do the job. So I searched high and low, and found what I consider to be the best stuff to use on dark or light fabrics. I even designed some cute cupcakes and sweets you can trace up immediately! Run over to the Tools page. Your search is over.

What happens when two stitching authors meet? They arm wrestle! At the TNNA tradeshow in Ohio earlier this month, I was visited in my display booth by Melinda Barta, author of Hip to Stitch and writer for Piecework Magazine. Her book is a great thing to pick up after Stitch-It Kit (hint, hint) because she'll take you even farther down the embroidered road. And, who won the match? Aw, it was draw. Special thanks to the folks at Interweave Press and Chronicle Books for making the event well worth the long haul from Texas!

I won't be there, but my stuff will be! I so wish I could make the Brooklyn leg of Renegade but I just returned from a major tradeshow in Ohio (more next entry) and am a tad pooped. But, the Austin Craft Mafia will have a booth, representing us all. Go meet some of my ladies! And have a renegade good time.

If you live near Kansas City, don't miss this show! I'll have three works in the exhibit, along with artists Orly Cogan, Whitney Lee, Maggy Rozycki Hiltner and others. Be sure to visit the Extra/Ordinary website.

Chicken Little is a new movie coming out from, oh...one of those big family film companies. Anyway, they asked me (and other artists) to do a customization of the character, for an exhibition called Chickinterpretation at Meltdown Comics in LA. Neat huh? The exhibition closed recently, so click here to see all the works from the show.
