I can't read my own press. No really, it's in Japanese. In the last month alone my interviews have been published in
Japanese, Dutch, Portuguese and Polish! Its all Greek to me. I have to admit, it's a real thrill to appear in Nylon Japan- it makes me feel a little exotic, only because I'm so not. They invited me to modify a bag for their denim issue which is being raffled off to some lucky reader. They also featured my embroidered portrait of Iggy Pop and my human hair-on-leather embroidery. If you read Japanese, click here and tell me what it says!

Be still my beating heart. A man who embroiders. Customer Matt recently wrote in and mentioned how snazzy his shirt looked after he stitched up some Sublime Stitching designs on the pocket. GASP! I begged him to send me a photo! Here he is, living proof that a man will take to stitching just the same. Guys? Want girls taking a keen interest in you? Sport a needle and embroidery hoop.

Long overdue! Finally, I've posted pics from the Portrait Class at Make in December (just click the pic above). This was a really great class, particularly for me. Let's see if I can remember all their names: Cindy, Ashlee, Olivia, Sharon, Erica, Cyndi, and Jade. Seven students, the class of '05! Woo hoooo! Ahem. But truly, I really enjoyed all those who attended and fully expect to see reports finished and on my desk by (oh whenever, you know...). But do please send in your portraits, pupils! Maybe I'll do one in Austin next?
