Unicorns are the new Black

Magical wonders! This has got to be the best use of the Unicorn patterns I've seen yet. Dang. Miss sewwabisabi over on the Sublime Stitching Craftster Forum stitched up this beautimous unicorn birthday banner. You can totally make a banner like this too! Just get the Unicorn Believer patterns, a banner, toss in some daydreams with rainbows and you're set.

Start the presses! Look, I really do have better things to do than toot my own horn. But dang if Sublime Stitching hasn't gotten some really great press recently! It's all too much to scan: Adorn, Cutting Edge, Nylon and a big 'ol spread in the new zine Craft (which also includes my How to Embroider a Skateboard project) just to name a few. BUST, Venus, CraftTrends and Knit1 all heart Sublime Stitching too, so nyeah. If you're in Austin, maybe you saw the spread in Jewel or Rare. And then there's La Ciudad in L.A....hey- I see you rolling your eyes! I'm not finished yet. C'est moi la featured Crafty Query on Subversive Cross Stitch, and there's a really great interview with me about the hair embroidery (yes you read that right) by Tsia Carson over on Supernaturale.com. Okay, even I'm sick of me now.

Come see me strut my stuff in...

STITCH FASHION SHOW AND CRAFT BAZAAR
SAT NOV 11 @ The AUSTIN MUSIC HALL
DOORS OPEN 5pm / FASHION SHOW 9:30pm
Sublime Stitching Merch in the Austin Craft Mafia Booth!
Tickets are only $10 - BUY HERE

Don't miss me prance down the catwalk for Edge of Urge in the Stitch Fashion Show! Geez, I hope I don't trip. Afterward, I'll be at the Austin Craft Mafia booth with signed copies of the new Sublime Stitching book. I have to say, I am so durn proud of my fellow Austin Craft Mafia sisters (Tina, Jesse, Karly and Jennifer) for starting this event, which has grown to mammoth proportions. I think 1,200 people attended last year and they had to move it to the danged Austin Music Hall to accomodate the throngs. Visit StitchAustin.com for more info.
