I made my mother a saint. It was easy since she had a pretty decent start. A dreamy glamour-shot from 1952 helps too. This project is featured in the current issue of ReadyMade and was inspired by sewing cards, my buddy Carl (I owe you lunch) and this unabating desire to embroider anything I can get my hands on. New tools rule. So, all last night, visions of the new tools danced in my head. Oooh! Maybe some will appear in my stocking! I sure could use that stylus for tracing designs, a pretty-in-satin pincushion for my pins 'n needles and those woven labels will finish off my project oh so nicely. Oh Santa pleasepleasepleeeeze! (crossing fingers and wishing reaaal hard)
