This is a detail of a wall hanging I made with the "Chinatown" pattern. My bedroom has a bit of a mythology theme to it, so I thought this would go well! This dragon includes split stitching, satin stitching, and back stitching, in five different colors. The clouds are simply back stitched, with two different colors nested one inside the other. I love the effect it gives. It's all been stitched on a roughly 10"x10" piece of white cotton, then I created a "frame" for it all with red fabric.
