My first attempt at embroidery after receiving some awesome Sublime Stitching books from my brother for my birthday. Stitched up a name plate for my bedroom door. I re-appropriated the swirly border to the sides so it would all fit in the frame as I intend to leave it on the hoop and hang it. The only thing I am disappointed in is that I cant get the lines on the gingham to sit straight. If I pul the fabric tight so there are no wrinkles the lines go wavy.
