New Video Tutorial || Floss Blending
Floss Blending! This is such a fun and simple trick. All it requires is knowing how to separate your floss. Like so...
Real glamorous, right? Be sure to watch the video so you can see this smooth move in action! This is how I separate my floss -a tried and true method for many needleworkers. (Just don't do it while wearing lipstick.) There's an alternative method for separating floss in the first video (hint: velcro is involved).
There are two combo ideas in the video, but I bet you'll have more fun coming up with your own.

Hello,
I stumbled upon your site from reading Craft Business Heroes. After watching this youtube video, it reminded me of a wonderful children’s book I read called: Project Mulberry by Linda Sue Park. It’s about an asian girl who starts a 4-H project with a friend to grow silk thread from silkworms and then she embroiders with the thread!
A great read!

@Lissa That’s so true! You (and your gramma) are totally right. I demo the method you describe in the first video! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p4yHBqqKAjY&feature=youtu.be

I separate my floss in a different way my grandma showed me, no mouth involved. You have to cut a normal length piece to sew with, then I spread the end just a pinch and grab only one piece of the six, then pinch all the other 5 with one hand and pull on the one that is separated with the other hand. It makes the other 5 wad up a pinch but is very quickly straightened, and nevah knots, yes Nevah! If u separate one piece at a time like this it is wayyyy faster and the end product lies much flatter. It also does make the blending look more “blended” evenly….Try it, you will love it, and think my Gramma was a genius! ANd as a bonus your lipstick remains flawless! :::DIVA!!!::::
