So, I was at home (on the other side of the UK) for a week and I was out of the blog-o-sphere, with y'know keeping up family appearances and such and I return to a box of golden delights! The shoes are firmly upon my feet and are about to enjoy their first outing. Thankyou ever so, Ms Hart! I shall do my own blog post about them shortly xxx
Colorful Chucks Coveted
Not everyone appreciates the art in stitching up some Chucks. In the unruly art class I live in, how you decorate your shoes tells as much about you as your hair style or how you dress. These would be a welcome addition to the class and would be displayed prominently as a fine work of art...an example of a style, like Starry Night.
Needless to say, I believe they are a work of art and a thing of beauty to be enjoyed forever. And the Converse would have a good home in our virtual class room.
Thanks!
ps. excellent design. I <3 them
amazing!
I would love to win these--they are amazing! If I won them, I would have to photograph them from every angle before wearing them, and then photograph their lifespan, integrating everywhere they go, their experiences...in short, a visual diary of the life of embroidered converse! :)
I absolutely love them!! I
I absolutely love them!! I was actually dreading reading this blog entry because I just knew the shoes would not be in my size...but, like magic, they're 8 1/2s!! That's my size!!!!!!
I would give them a wonderful, loving home where they could live in a healthy, shoe-friendly environment. I already have a place picked out on my shoe tree for these lovely works of art. I can picture myself wearing them a lot this spring and summer with everything...shorts, dresses, skirts, jeans...everything!! I think they would fit perfectly with my life, and more importantly, I will fit perfectly with theirs. How cute!!!x - x - x - x - x - x
Converse
I used to paint my own shoes, do all kinds of crafty projects. I sort of lost myself as I grew older(ish) and became a mom. Your embroidery brought me back to my crafty roots. These converse shoes would not only remind me of my crafty dreams and ambitions, but give me some much needed cool points with my just-turned 13 year old daughter. I would wear them as a proud symbol that young at heart is a state of mind and feet!

Why I Would Love and Treasure Those Converse the Most
Hi!
I am a converse-wearer, pretty much constantly, but I would treasure this pair even more because of how much I love Sublime Stitching. Last fall, I was putting together props for a friend's production of Othello, and needed the strawberry-spotted handkerchief that ultimately seals Desdemona's and Othello's fate. It had to be perfect, so I decided to teach myself to embroider. A quick internet search landed me here, I found a store in New York that sold Sublime Stitching, bought the Stitch-It Kit, and began to work. And you know what? It was absolutely perfect! (And got lots of compliments.) I couldn't have done it without you; no other book or site was clearer or easier to follow. And so I would treasure these shoes partly because they're converse and ergo comfortable and go with everything and all that, but mostly because I adore Sublime Stitching and honestly, you're like a rock star to me.
(Sorry, you said you didn't want epic, but sometimes it takes a while to express your love for something!)

Amazing Sneakers!
I would love to win these sneakers because they are AMAZING and because they are JUST MY SIZE!
Thanks, Jenny.
Sneakers
Wow what a great idea Im off to buy some for my Hols ...seeing as I never win anything but if I did I would love them to bits
can I really go to the ball, fairy godmother?
These are even better than glass slippers! And they're just my size! (Seriously, not like Cinderella's stepsister claimed.) I would love them and hug them and squeeze them and call them George. And they would look smashing paired with the Sexy Librarian tote I carry when I want to look my best.
Thanks for everything you do to make embroidery cool.
Jennifer
Happy 20th Anniversary to Me & Chuck!
I bought my first pair of Converse in the 10th grade, which was 1990. I'd been wanting some long before, but I finally got that coveted pair of black, high-top All Stars. Since then I've had many pairs in many styles that I remember from different phases of life. My most well-loved were the ones in my theatre scene shop days that had Gonzo bow-biters (the little things to keep the laces tied) and were completely splattered with paint from 4 years of painting sets for plays.
Back to the beginning... 10th grade was the first year of high school where I grew up. This year, 20 years later, I'll be starting grad school. So, these won't get painted, but they'll join me as I traipse through campus for the first time since '97 and maybe they'll even pique the interest of a curious kid or recovering stroke patient as I begin providing speech & language therapy in clinicals. I know I'd ask about them if I saw them on someone else, so maybe they will, too.
I think these would be the perfect way to commemorate 20 years with Chuck Taylor and cheerful way to start a new chapter in my life. :)

Contest
I would LOVE to win those shoes. I'd take very good care of them, treat with them love and they'd inspire me every day!
My work requires business
My work requires business casual/professional attire... but shoes are the one thing that I have complete control over. I would love to rock these out in the office :)
converse giveaway
I would wear them to work and look forward to people asking "where'd you get those cool kicks?" And I would tell them sublime stitching you crazy fool!
for my sister
I would totally give these to my youngest sister who is super cool. She LOVES Converse, she's a huge Sublime Stitching fan and she just got her acceptance letter in to college, so she deserves a special treat!

Converse Giveaway
I WANT! These are so cool! I promise I will keep them beautiful!
Wow!
Since I bought my first pair of chucks back in the mid 80's, they have been my top fav shoes. I have seen many cool chucks, but never ever any as cool as these. I would wear them with sooo much pride as they are the best way to show the whole world how cool it is with traditional handicraft made into a really hot modern design.
MiA
Why I NEED these shoes!!
I need these shoes because I have a 13 year old daughter with a Converse obsession. You might think I'm going to say that I'll give the shoes to her, but NO. I want to have something so amazingly cool that I will be the coolest mom EVER. And I'll maybe think of letting her borrow them. Like for prom.
a comfortable life
these shoes would be given the most comfortable life if they chose to live in my house. they would be given a spot on the "shelf of lovely things" in my sewing room, where they could be admired by visitors and regular visitors of my blog. alternately, if you want them to see the world, they are the pefect size for my neice, who will soon be flying from the nest and attending college. she is tall, blonde, athletic and would help attract attention to the shoes. :) i'm enjoying making up potential life stories for a pair of shoes.
i will love them!
i would love them! they are my size. and i have been wanting new chucks for a while, in that color, and these are so much more awesome than any plain ones could ever be. i love them. they would probably even replace my (absolute favorite color IN THE WORLD) teal chucks as my every day shoe. please let me love them forever! :]
Converse!
I have had my pair of black converse hi tops since middle school, I'm now a veterinary graduate student, and they are still in great shape! I love your stitches and have enjoyed learning to embroider so much that I think I would be the perfect home for them to come live with. They would be proudly displayed on my crafting table for all to see! Even if I don't get them, you should know you are amazing and I appreciate your work so much! Thank you for making it possible for craft-disadvantaged me to make beautiful things!
Converse!!!
If I am the lucky winner of these shoes I am going to go out on the town and use whatever means necessary to wrangle me a size 5 1/2-shoes gentleman to sport them...I'm picturing a lasso and one of those giant vaudeville hooks...
i love them :)
ooh if i won them id craft my self a lil shelf right above my craft space to admire them forever! Maybe even wore one a special occasion like a craft show or a trip to the craft store for more embroidery floss ;)
give me the shoes, yo!
Why do I deserve these All Stars? Because I've been wearing the same converse low-tops since 1992. My big toe sticks out the top and gets caught on things. My heel drags on the ground and sets off sparks. I'd wear these lovely kicks every day until they fall apart, then I'd duly repurpose them. Through karate chops, moonwalks, jump ropes and the Race for the Cure, these babies will travel with me everywhere!
I want these shoes!
As someone who really wanted to be in Austin for SXSW, but was unable to go, these Converse would be a superior consolation prize!!!! And...the fact that they are MY size tells me that it's meant to be! If (when) I win, I will take extra special care of them...making sure they never get dirty!

Converse!!! Love them!!!

egads!
Those are super! If I had snazzy sneakers like that, I would wear them but not too much. I'd wear them to make a splash, to make an entrance. And I would wear them on Fridays. Because Fridays are special and deserve a special shoe like that. Unless it was raining, snowy or muddy. They would have to wait until next week then.
Love your work!

Love
First off, I always have a pair of converse, but a pair designed by Jenny Hart!(Love your work). This is taking them to a whole new level of epic proportions. I think I would put them in a glass case to be admired for many years. They would then be passed down as a family heirloom ;) And worn on only very special occasions! I would place them in a place of prominence in my home to share with everyone who visits! So awesome! Thanks for the chance to win!
Giveaway Converse trainers
Please may I have these fabulous trainers as I love all of your work and am in desperate need of a new pair of trainers too! Oh and they'd fit me perfectly! I'd wear them as often as possible to show them off and take them to places I love, like the sea side and my favourite harberdashery stall in the market.
Thanks for all your lovely designs!

I need those shoes!
I really need these shoes. I live in Texas. I raise registered Longhorns & I have to wear boots most of the time. No one really gets to see the real me. I promise, super promise never to wear them around the cows & since I am nearly 60 years old don't you think it is time I get to wear something really cool like these shoes? Pick me please, please!

I've been wearing Converse ever since I took summer school gym as a freshman in high school. The gym teachers were about to throw out some old shoes and my best friend and I rescued two pairs of low-tops which were just our sizes (thrifting at its finest!). I fell in love with that first forest green pair and wore them until they fell to pieces. Fifteen years later, I still wear and love Converse All-Stars and 8 1/2 is my size! Cross my stitch and hope to die, I'd give them a good Texas home.
Time for a Replacement!
What fancy, pretty decorated sneaks - oh, and my size! It may finally be time to retire my high school pair - their not looking so good after 22 years of wear (well, there were a few years I didn't actually wear them). It would be so much nicer to sport yours! Tis finally the season of the converse!
How I would *LOVE* those Chuck Taylors
I started strength training in November 2009. And, when I say strength training, I'm talking old school: weights on a bar, ass-to-the-grass squats, dead lifts, bench press, overhead press, etc. The program I'm using said Chuck Taylor Converse are the best shoes for weight lifting since they're flat and have no spring to them (therefore you're more stable when dealing with heavy weights - a flat foot means better balance). Luckily, I had a pair of black high top Chucks, but so does another person at the gym: a 80+ year old guy with really bad posture. Although my Chucks have a pink sole and pink trim that make them a little more "girlie," it still bothers me that this guy and I are so similarly shod. I know I shouldn't care, but I do. He's ALWAYS there when I am. And it doesn't help that he wears gray shorts and a red shirt sometimes - making us almost twins. I'd change my schedule if I could...seriously.
So, winning these Chucks would be awesome because:
a) They would help motivate me in the gym ('cause cool shoes do wonders for your attitude)
b) I could give my black and pink Chucks a rest (so they'd have a little more time to breathe between sessions)
c) ... or retire them for the winter
d) ... or I could alternate depending on my mood (the "stitched" ones could serve as the yang to the yin of the black ones)
e) They would erase any comparison between me and the older gentleman with extraordinary taste in shoes
beautiful shoes
I would love these as though I had birthed them and cradle them in my arms as I slept. Alternatively, I'd simply wear them to the Royal School of Needlework every day and show them off to my embroidery peers and cripple them with envy.
Either'd be fun.
I love them!
I am a huge converse fan and these babies would be my pride and joy! I would wear them a lot, and take great care of them. They combine two of my favorite things: embroidery (especially Jenny Hart embroidery) and Converse! They're my size too :)
Converse Give Away!
I would love to rock these Chucks! Not that the high tops will help me out in the cankle department since I'm 8 months pregnant but WHO CARES ABOUT CANKLES WHEN YOUR SHOES ARE THIS COOL!?
(plus, think of the cute baby pictures i can send in of the shoes when my lil girl gets here?) ;) lol thanks!!

These are fantastic! I love them and all the designs that you have on this site! I have a couple patterns and love them to death!
Love these shoes
Beautiful and cute. I would put these shoes in a plastic box you know the ones they put special baseballs and stuff in.
I would take them to my next embroidery meeting and everyone one would ohhh and ahhhh. After that I would have to wear them and let everybody know where I got them. The ONE and ONLY Jenny Hart♥ (Duh I posted this on FB instead of here LOL)
rooster proof shoes
I need these shoes! We have a rooster named Seamus that is obsessed with attacking my shoes and feet (i shoed him away with my foot once and ever since then he has held a grudge). I can't get within 10 ft of him without him sprinting over and pecking my feet. These shoes are SO cool even a peeved off rooster would know to respect them and not to peck at them. and they are even my size!
ooh ooh ooh
they're my siiiiiize!!!
squeak!
would you be offended if I stitched over the lines if I won them?
they are so very cool :)

a Cons-Verse
Write a verse for converse,
A pocket full of thread.
When I embroider, I don't have to leave my bed.
But soon I'll be hip enough to get up, dance and rhyme,
Cause when I'm sportin' "stitched up" kicks, my look will be SUBLIME!!

Converse
I've been pining after your work for quite some time, since I first saw your ad in Juxtapoz a few years ago.
These gorgeous shoes would be lovingly placed in the center of a shelf I have on my studio wall where I keep my other most coveted possessions, next to my Baseman painting and my Burgerman. They shall not be worn...ever, but gently taken down from time to time to slip on my feet and admire.
What's more, as a child my mother never let me have Converse high top shoes stating it was only for basketball playing boys. I'm neither a boy or a ball player. (back then they only came in black, white, blue and red...maybe green) Each summer she would buy me a pair of low top Keds and I would wear them but quietly covet my brothers shoes, much too big for me.
AND..I also had work in a film at SXSW :o)(People vs George Lucas) I couldn't make the party :o(
Tennie love!
Love your tennies. Mad, mad, mad love!!!

They're my size
I'm a dyed in the wool Converse fan, from the off-white pair that were literally falling apart when I was in high school, to the 20 or so pairs that live happily in my closet (including my beloved black velvet pair). BUT, my collection would be considerably bigger if they made the really cute ones in a 5 and a half. Which they don't. So I can't believe that these super-cute, fantastically embellished Cons would actually fit me. I'd love and treasure and adore them, I swear, AND they'd fit me!
