those darn fill stitches!
hey jenny and sublime stitching crew! i was just sweating a week ago about getting a project done for the birthday present for my friends' 21st, when i saw this post! you saved my bacon, and helped get their present done on time! thanks for always being a source of inspiration! (you can see the finished piece as well as some other crafty stuff my sister and i have done at http://http://stitchonezoomin.blogspot.com/2010/07/finished-projects-and...)
also, i emailed you some time ago when i had received my order from you all, and you had been so sweet in replying! i found out that you were based in Austin (and i'm really sad you don't have a store (though, i understand, working for an independent yarn shop myself)), and i was wondering if you had any good recommendations of things to do, must-sees, any good restaurants, and of course, more independent craft businesses!
if you've got time, please let me know!
thanks again for the inspiration!
Karen
WOW, THANKS!
I'm agog and incredibly flattered to be noticed by Sublime Stitching! :) I'm forever grateful to Jenny Hart & Sublime Stitching for introducing me to my hobby of embroidery.
My first attempts at embroidery as an adult (2004) were due in part to seeing a friend's pillow made with a Sublime Stitching pattern - it was love at first sight, and I promptly ordered a Stitch-It Kit for myself. The instructions were so easy to follow, and embroidery is now my absolutely favorite craft and hobby. :)
What lovely work! I love
What lovely work! I love the concept of filling up an entire duvet with bits of embroidery. I've been contemplating doing something similar, but which tells the story of my (short so far) life and what's important to me.
Using a running stitch as a filler is fantastic too.
