Who we are...

You found us!
(We've been waiting for you.)

Sublime Stitching is
the original, independent DIY company that introduced pinups, robots, tattoos and some rock-and-roll to embroidery design. When other companies wouldn't dare stray from teddy bears or geese in bonnets, Sublime Stitching was born. For over ten years, Sublime Stitching has continually led the way in alternative embroidery patterns, kits, textiles and education. Thousands around the globe have been inspired by Sublime Stitching to start embroidering. (You're next.)

Jenny Hart (Founder / Artistic Director) first tried embroidery in the summer of 2000 and quickly became known for her hand-embroidered portraits of the famous and infamous. Her works have appeared in numerous books and magazines including Vogue, Rolling Stone, Lucky, Nylon, Real Simple, Dazed and Confused and others.

Hart founded Sublime Stitching in 2001 as a new model for embroidery design and resources. Since then, she has become an internationally recognized fine artist and designer. She is an award-winning author of seven titles on embroidery for Chronicle Books, and her drawings and works in embroidery have been exhibited and published internationally. In 2012, one of her works in embroidery was entered into the permanent collection of the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

Stephanie Warren (Customer Service & Inventory Manager) is Sublime Stitching's Shipping Goddess. She packs and ships orders, manages inventory, and answers customer service emails.

Stephanie is also an avid embroiderer with eclectic tastes in music that range from death metal to Leonard Cohen. If you marvel at how quickly your order arrives, she is the reason!

Yes, that's really it! Behind the scenes, we are a teeny-tiny operation that works very hard to bring all of this together for you. Unique things, like this.
