They Are Rich...

♥ From My Collection ♥ Okay, so this is my grandma's embroidery! This cross-stitch was worked by my Grandma Hart who was born in 1896 (yes, you read that right). She lived next door to us from 1979 until 1996 (reaching the age of 99 1/2). She had been a Nebraska farm-wife and probably stitched this in the 20's or 30's. It sits on my desk, right in front of me.

I have always loved the bright, rainbow colors she used for each individual letter.

Beautiful piece of cross stitch! The whole effect is one of lolly pops in all kinds of flavors. I love it. Thanks for sharing it with us.

Wow! You are lucky to have

Wow! You are lucky to have something like that in such great condition. I love the tree (a willow perhaps?) and the color choices she made!
Very excited for the next artist series! Love her illustrations! Keep up the amazing embroidery and all the inspiration. :)
